Ingredients
1 large onion finely chopped,
2 large tomato cut into 1” cubes,
½ tsp turmeric powder,
5 spicy green chillies slit,
½ tsp chilli powder,
A pinch of asafetida,
1 liter coconut milk,
1 tbsp gram flour,
1 tsp sugar,
Salt to taste
Method
– In a vessel add the onions, green chillies, turmeric powder and ½ liter of water and boil for 5 minutes.
– Add the tomatoes and the coconut milk and on a low flame stir the curry
– Add the salt, sugar and the gram flour and stir continuously till the curry turns slightly thick
– Serve this hot with steamed rice and kaap.
