Ingredients
½ cup Green Gram
½ cup Split Black Gram
½ tsp. Ginger
½ tsp. Cumin seeds

Method
– Soak green gram and split black gram in water for 3 hours and then grind to a fine paste after draining the water. Keep aside for 6 hours to ferment.
– Add ginger, cumin seeds, asafoetida, salt, green chilli and mix well.
– Grease the idli moulds and fill them with the batter halfway through.
– Steam for 15 minutes in an Idli Steamer.
– Once the Vadas are ready, keep them in hot water for 30 minutes.
– Then squeeze the water out of the Vadas and transfer to a plate.
– Now add salted yoghurt, date and tamarind chutney, mint and coriander chutney, garlic chutney, cumin powder, red chilli powder and coriander leaves. Nutritious and healthy Dahi Vada is ready to eat!
