Ingredients
– 1 ½ cup of semolina
– 4 tbsp milk powder
– ½ cup of castor sugar
– ¼ cup plain flour
– ½ cup of coarse almond powder
– 1 tsp baking powder
– lemon zest
– ½ cup of melted butter
– 1 cup of curd
– 1 inch cup of water
– 1 cup of castor sugar
– 1 cup of water
– 1 tbsp of lemon juice
Utensil:
– 7 inch greased tin
Method
– Mix the dry ingredients together
– semolina, milk powder, castor sugar, plain flour, coarse almond powder, baking powder and lemon zest
– Add the wet ingredients into the mixture
– melted butter, curd, water
– Spread it evenly into a 7 inch greased tin
– Preheat the oven, keep on convection mode at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
– In a pan add castor sugar, water and lemon juice
– Cut the cake into diamond shape and pour the sugar syrup over it and garnish it with almond and pistachios powder
– Keep it aside so that the cake absorbs the sugar syrup –
Semolina cake is ready to be served.
