Ingredients
250 gms Paneer cubes,
50 gms yogurt,
1 tbsp red chilli powder,
1 tsp turmeric,
½ no lemon juice,
1 tbsp mustard oil,
Salt to taste, Tikka Masala 2 tbsp,
medium onions 3,
large tomatoes 1,
tsp chopped green chilly,
1 tbsp red chilli powder,
1 tsp turmeric,
½ tsp Garam masala,
Garnish with springs of coriander.
Method
Slice paneer into cubes
– For tikka marination add curd, red chilli powder, turmeric, juice of lemon, mustard oil and salt as required.Mix the ingredients properly.
– Add the paneer cubes to the marination mix and coat them well and keep aside for 10 minutes.
– In a pan heat some oil on moderate flame.
– Add chopped onions and let them turn brown. Now add green chillies, red chilli powder, turmeric powder,garam masala and salt.
– Let the masala cook for 30-40 seconds and then add the chopped tomatoes.
– Add water and let the whole mixture cook properly.
– Cover it with the lid and allow it to cook for 8-10 minutes.
– Grill the paneer cubes by heating up oil in the pan and placing the cubes over it.
– Let the paneer cook from both the sides.Once done keep them aside for further use.
– Add the left over marination paste into the masala.
– Allow it to cook for a minute and then turn off the flame and allow it to cool down.
– Now grind the mixture into a fine paste.
– Add the masala paste into pan again add some water to it and cook it on moderate flame.
– Once the masala start simmering add the paneer tikka cubes.
– Give gentle stir and let it cook for over a minutes.
– Paneer Tikka Masala is ready to be served.
