Ingredients
Lauki Paratha 1 cup wheat flour
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp asafoetida
1 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp amchur or raw mango powder or juice of half a lime
1 tsp sesame seeds
Coriander leaves 1 cup
grated lauki or bottle gourd
1 tbsp oil Ghee
Salt to taste
Method
In a bowl, mix wheat flour, coriander powder, asafoetida, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, raw mango powder, sesame seeds, coriander leaves, grated bottle gourd and salt. Add oil, water and knead the mixture into a soft dough. Divide the dough into equal parts and start making the parathas immediately. Roll the parathas with a rolling pin and then roast these on medium flame applying ghee on both the sides. Roast until brown spots are visible on the paratha. Serve with some mint chutney or pickle of your choice!
