How To Make Date & Tamarind Chutney | Khajur Imli Ki Chatni For Chaat Recipe by Ruchi Bharani

Ingredients

400 gm. red dates,
100 gm. jaggery,
50 gm. tamarind,
1/4 tsp. asafoetida (heeng),
2 tsp. red chilli powder,
2 tsp. coriander,
cumin seed powder,
salt to taste
water

Method

– Add the dates to a round bottom pan. Add 2 cups of water. Stir well. Let it come to a boil.
– Add jaggery, salt, coriander cumin seed powder, red chilli powder and asafoetida. Stir and let it simmer on a slow flame for 25-30 min till the dates become absolutely soft.
– Add tamarind and let it cook for 5 min.
– Let it cool down completely.
– Add it to a grinder and churn well into a smooth paste.
