Ingredients

100 gms. Soya beans
50 gms. Soya chunks
1 tsp salt
250 gms. refined flour

* No water *

Stiff dough Soya Chaap Tikka:-
20 Soya chaap tikka

Marination:-
100 gms. Curd
50 gms. Fresh Cream
1 tbsp. Roasted Gram flour
1 tsp. Turmeric powder
2 tbsp. Red chilli powder
1 tsp. Garam Masala powder
1 tbsp. Ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp. Lemon juice
Salt to taste
2 tbsp. Vegetable oil
1 tbsp. Butter
1 tbsp. Chaat masala powder

Garnish:- Onions slices
Lemon halves
Chaat masala
Chilli powder

Method

– Wash and soak dried soya bean overnight in hot water. Drain and then grind to a fine paste in a mixer/grinder.
– Boil soya chunks in salt water for 10 minutes and cool down to room temperature. Grind the chunks to a coarse paste in the same grinder.
– Mix both the ground pastes with refined flour and salt. Now knead this into a stiff dough.
– Cut the dough into small lemon sized balls and keep aside. Roll these balls into thin chapati shapes and cut into ½ inch strips. Wrap the candy stick with these strips.
– Cook these chaaps in boiling water until they start floating. Once they start floating, drain and transfer into the cold water.
– In a bowl add yoghurt, fresh cream, roasted gram flour, garlic paste, ginger paste, chaat masala, red chilli powder, garam masala and turmeric powder. Mix well and add salt and lemon juice. Whisky nicely. – Heat oil in a pan and add butter to it. Apply the marination to the chaap and fry it in the pan on high flame. Flip after a minute and take off the pan.
– Serve hot by garnishing with chaat masala and chilli powder. Soya Chaap Tikka is ready to serve! HAPPY COOKING!!!
